
Concrete-AI is an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) platform that applies pioneering data analytics to revolutionize ready-mix concrete production.
Market:
The global concrete industry is a $ 1+ trillion market (US ~ $ 45 B). Materials are typically 60% of the cost of goods sold. Using Concrete-AI proprietary technology has the potential to reduce these costs by 4 – 10%. This represents a significant saving in an industry where EBITDA margins average 10% and EBIT runs in the low single digits.
More importantly, the application of our technology could also allow for a reduction of 500 megatons of CO2 generation globally on an annual basis, 11 megatons in the U.S. and 1 megaton in California. This in turn would allow for the generation of carbon offset credits which currently yield more than $ 20 / metric ton in the U.S. and more than EUR 60 in Europe.
The platform is further able to pivot the focus of optimization to waste products and the consumption of slow-moving inventories of aggregates. This has a very positive impact on cash management for producers though reduction of net working capital.
